The 2026 Drosophila Community Service Award was presented earlier this month at #DROS26. This year's recipients were the REDFly Database Team and the FlyBase Developer Team, for their roles in the development of online repositories for the dissemination of Drosophila data.

The committee for the 2026 Drosophila Community Service Award for outstanding community service included Michelle Arbeitman (Co-chair), Cale Whitworth (Co-chair), Elizabeth Chen, Lydia Grmai, Amy Kiger, and Steven Marygold.The Community Service Award recipients for 2026 were the REDFly Database Team and the FlyBase Developer team, for their roles in development of online repositories for the dissemination and analysis of Drosophila data.
