Started on the bird to fight Big Quarries. Stayed to keep fighting against the destruction of our environment and corrupt Government. Proud Canadian, Proud Liberal.

I asked the Health Minister about nurses and health care workers being laid off across Ontario. She didn’t answer. Throughout committee, she blamed the federal government, blamed the previous Liberal government from eight years ago, and avoided answering questions. #onpoli

When Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government proposed overhauling environmental assessments and major project approvals last spring, they were warned against centralizing power and infringing on Indigenous Rights. Critics say Bill C-39 does just that.

I think it's ill-advised and anti-democratic to introduce an omnibus bill, cite a crisis, and rush major changes to labour and environmental law. It's going to provoke aggressive resistance and risks, ironically, slowing down the projects the government is so keen on. It's going to be a huge mess.

The federal government tabled new legislation Monday to make sweeping changes to environmental and labour rules, in Mark Carney’s latest effort to remove what he sees as barriers to development in pursuit of his pro-growth agenda.

Spending time this weekend getting ready for work next week? Not if you're Doug Ford! He started his summer break on June 9 and still has 4 weeks to go until he's back at Queen's Park. Wish you had 19 weeks of summer vacay? Should've become a deeply corrupt politician afraid of transparency, babes.

Doug Ford wears a blue apron and pretends to know how to barbecue. It's unclear which of his four homes he is at in this screenshot from a video. It could be his mom's home in Etobicoke that he inherited when she died. It could be his cottage on Fawn Lake. It's probably not one of his two condos in Hallandale, Florida.

Doug Ford. He's just like you and me, folks.

Metrolinx — whose rail operation, fare payment & infrastructure delivery functions are all privately managed, badly — is a strong argument AGAINST the murky public-private arrangement Carney is proposing for Canada’s big airports, as is the fact that the feds recently hired Phil Verster #cdnpoli

Will private management improve things? Fair question! I've got my biases against, but like in a world where Metrolinx has more VPs than train conductors you don't have to work hard to convince me that there's efficiencies to be found.
