It’s wonderful to see federal funding coming for residents who need to replace their home heating systems with cleaner heat pumps. As we transition from fossil fuels, this is the perfect opportunity for Kitchener Utilities to offer affordable rentals for heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage.

I am tired of women being called whores and bitches.

Linda Holmes@lindaholmes.bsky.social · 4h ago

I realize it often feels like nothing matters anymore, but a comedian going on SNL and calling women whores— calling the ordinary women he sees at the gym *whores* — because of their clothes matters to me. It’s really gross, and I’m glad Levy said something.

Putin's puppet has been sent his orders - get rid of Zelensky.

We now turn our thoughts to the Creator or Great Spirit, and send greetings and thanks for all the gifts of Creation. Now our minds are one. Download a copy here: lernerbooks.com/teaching_gui...

Our grandfathers the Thunder Beings who live in the West with their lightning and thundering voices. Our eldest brother, the Sun; our oldest Grandmother, the Moon: and the Stars who are spread across the sky like jewelry. The enlightened Teachers who have come to help throughout the ages.

The edible plants we harvest from the garden, especially the Three Sisters. The beautiful animal life of the world and all the birds who move and fly about over our heads. The powers we know as the Four Winds, who purify the air we breathe and help to bring the change of seasons.

Our Mother the Earth, for she gives us everything that we need for life. The waters of the world that nurture life for all beings and all the fish life in the water. The vast fields of plant life-the berries, the trees, and the medicine herbs of the world.

The Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address, illustrated by Nicole Neidhardt. Let us bring our minds together as one as we send greetings and thanks to each other as people. In these gathered faces, we see that the cycles of life continue.

That's terrible. "Among 529 participants referred to a specialized menopause clinic in Ontario, 74% reported vaginal dryness, yet 90% of those patients had not been offered local vaginal hormone therapies - the gold standard of care for genitourinary syndrome of menopause - before being referred."

Yup, for example, it's becoming more and more evident that pretty much every person with a vagina should have access to local estrogen (creams, suppositories, etc.). There are serious consequences of frequent UTIs, especially among older adults. menopausefoundationcanada.ca/pdf_files/MF...

There are many ways to intimidate. The FBI search of a lawmaker's house in Minnesota is just one of many ways. It too reminds me of Putin's Russia.

Make no mistake. The American democracy is spiralling downwards under Trump/MAGA. This reminds me of Putin's rise when lawmakers and journalists were first being intimidated into silence. Canada may see its own Russia along the southern border someday, perhaps sooner than we imagine.
