I wonder if trump drained the reflecting pool to flood a nearby server room that contained video evidence of him obstructing justice.
Ten fertile Rhode Island Red eggs arrived today. Into the incubator and hoping for a successful hatch. We original had six hens but one was decapitated (weasel?) and one had a crop infection - and she was the friendliest of the ladies which was so sad.
Just received my updated rates here in Auckland (actually Rodney district where we get f all benefit). 20% increase on a zero increase on our CV. Ouch!
"30 years ago, Winston Peters and New Zealand First were campaigning against the “Asian Invasion” in the 1996 elections. That same year, my family and I moved to Aotearoa. According to him, my family were part of this invasion." e-tangata.co.nz/comment-and-... Crossposted with @openvibe.social
Why we call Winston Peters ‘Lao Pi’ | E-Tangata
“Mandarin-speaking communities are so familiar with Winston, we have nicknamed him 'Lao Pi'. Lao Pi is like that grumpy neighbour everyone knows is a problem. Except he’s not a random neighbour. He is the foreign affairs minister and former deputy prime minister.” — Mengzhu Fu.

Until Shani’s mention of it, I hadn’t seen this 1999 Ray Charles interview. Now I have, and I’m a better person for it.
Watching Ray Charles destroy Bob Costa’s Elvis, fan boy heart released me from this lol
does the US “no taxation without representation“ mean that if this despicable government doesn’t represent me that I don’t pay taxes? In any case I completely disown and deplore them.
With highly-pathogenic avian influenza now in NZ, we're taking steps to protect #kakapo and #takahe by vaccinating against the disease, following a successful trial. We're aiming for ~90 kākāpō and 100 takahē in an initial phase to protect the most valuable birds/sites. #conservation #birds
Chinese artist Wang Liang, known as the "Invisible Man," uses body painting to blend seamlessly into natural and urban environments, promoting environmental awareness through his striking camouflage art.
For those of us in NZ who recall when Telecom NZ relaunched itself as Spark and a new logo that everyone said looked like the back side of a cat? Have you not thought the same of the Claude logo?
Tonight is Motown vs Chi-town. First time to make a Chicago deep dish and the dough is correct but I didn’t scale the recipe quite right (too much dough) and need to bake it longer. Very correct directionally and just needs some tweaks. Third time for Detroit style and family loves it.
That expression on a dog’s face, the eyes that start to squint and also roll back a bit, when you scratch their lower back. They make sure you know they don’t want you to stop - ever.
So pissed off this morning. My wife is one week out of surgery and wanted to grocery shopping with me this morning - her first time out and it is freezing this morning. So she wore her nice wool jacket with a hood. Pak n Save sent two people to tell her she couldn’t wear a hoody while in the store
As the world's undisputed "Bicycle Kingdom", at its peak in 1998, 62% of trips in Beijing were made by bike. Then came the car, and planning policy shifted decisively toward motorisation. By 2015, the modal share had collapsed to just 9.5%, one of the most dramatic declines of any major global city.

Was suddenly in the mood for ćevapčići. The kids will get this as leftovers in their lunch tomorrow. Poor kids
WTF is “additionality”? And a _conversation_ about water use. Corporate mumble jumble as usual. Luxon: “Data centres would need to bring additionality to our energy system and electricity system and we also need to have a conversation about use of water,” he said.
Double cosign, this is a fantastic watch, immaculate vibes
MIDNIGHT DINER has the dreaded "Leaving Soon" on Netflix and if you have ever taken my advice about anything, take this--one of my favorite TV shows of all time. This is one I desperately wish I had the physical media of.
I think a pair of mallard ducks have figured out the step on chicken feeder. Twice now I’ve gone down and they suddenly flew out of the coop as I came around the corner. This may be a bit of a challenge to solve.
Would someone please import Schneider Landbrauerei Bayrisch Hell to NZ again? I will buy several cases. Also, bring in some Schönramer Pils and Helles. What’s the minimum order? I’ll help fund it! #beer #Bier #Schneider #Schönramer

Trump on the CHIPS Act: "If you weren't transgender, you didn't qualify. So they'd get the money, they'd look all over for transgender people to run the company."
Made my first ever Detroit style pizza. Actually I’ve never eaten one but thought it seems like an awesome style.
