Digging deeper into the Middleton memories & remembering it wasn't just a green snakeskin jacket but red & varigated brown (cobra?) too. And a black one, cut longer like a sport coat. And red crepe-soled shoes with chunky white laces that looked like a grown-up version of something for a toddler.

Das Kalkül des TS Interviews in der ZEIT besteht auch in der Simulation, man habe noch mal nachgedacht und überprüft, was man früher für Einwände gegen jemanden gebracht hat, der Rassismen verbreitet, und dann festgestellt: Er hat doch recht. Dadurch wird das, was TS damals gesagt hat, bestärkt.

Buchvernissage: Symbol und Versprechen. Musterhäuser an Schweizer Ausstellungen Musterhäuser wurden über Jahrzehnte auf Welt-, Landes-, Bau- und Wohnausstellungen gezeigt. Nicht nur Architektur und Möbel sollten mit und in ihnen präsentiert werden – sie veranschaulichten zugleich gesellschaftliche Leitbilder und wurden oft für Propaganda instrumentalisiert. In den Musterhäusern verdichteten sich damit zeitgenössische Gestaltungsfragen und gesellschaftliche Debatten.   Nina Hüppi im Gespräch mit Regine Hess, Autorin «Von der Weltausstellung zur Bauausstellung. Eine Architekturgeschichte grosser Ausstellungen 1851 – 1957» (Jovis Verlag 2026 ). Beide Autorinnen forschen nicht nur über Ausstellungsarchitektur, sondern sind als Mitglieder des Vereins ProSaffa1958-Pavillon auch als Aktivistinnen für den Erhalt dieser Architekturen tätig und thematisieren mit ihrem Engagement den Umgang mit dem baukulturellen Erbe aus Frauenhand.   Die Veranstaltung findet auf Deutsch statt.  Hüppi, Nina: Symbol und Versprechen.
