Very disappointing from the new Prime Minister, very much sounding like the previous PM. These are among the world’s most vulnerable and desparate people. They need safe routes and humanity from responsible politicians, not grandstanding. This isn’t doing politics differently.

Just obscene to come home safe from pride celebrations in London and know there are people who won’t in Berlin. Our fight is global and united, and it’s wrong that we need to fight at all.
25 tonnes of nurdles, more than 1 billion nurdles, were spilled into the Tyne last week and are washing up on our beaches, north and south of the Tyne. Likely one of the largest ever plastic pollution events in the UK. There is remarkably little mention of this on here.

The climate emergency isn't a talking point. It's happening right now. Farmers are watching harvests fail, families are facing hosepipe bans, and our infrastructure is crumbling under record heat.
It's wrong that creditors have loaded Thames Water with debt while paying themselves billions in dividends. Now they're offering the Govt a "golden share" to avoid full public ownership. Not enough. Water privatisation is a failed experiment. We need Thames Water brought into public ownership.
