i think, now, more than ever its really important to interact with people who like your art and vice versa, and cultivate more community and trust among artists and commissioners and followers in general. its not a perfect system by any means but i think building trust between everyone will help

This is what people mean by AI is theft. Someone I know later found out an artist (16k followers) they got a commision from uses AI and now they don't have funds to commish me or another artist they like. Not only does the slop machine steal art, these scammers directly steal work from real artists

The amount of misinformation spread genAI has increased is insane, and they're going to ignore that. There are so many examples I have of disabled people doing shit just fine without AI. They don't let their disabilities stop them, they find ways to work through it without the need of gAI. (1/2)

For some reason whenever I try to paint ambient occlusion (AO) THE WAY i see people do it, my brain fucking hates it. I work light to dark and it's not smooth enough or doesnt cut right. But I do dark to light and then my brain is happy. So maybe I should try AO in reverse?
