Super excited about nature loving drag king Bi-curious George's new show Snail Trail coming to Edinburgh Fringe. The previous nature documentary cabaret Queer Planet was a great fun! #edinburghFringe2026

Every year during the #EdinburghFringe, I want to see every single #puppet show!! So hard to choose. I really enjoyed Bill's 44th, Breathe, The Bookbinder back in 2024, WonderTwunk (ventriloquism) and Dream Space last year. I love you puppeteers please keep it coming!!
"Dressing your age" is a very odd expectation for adults who don't grow bigger every year anymore - I am just wearing what I have

how many taxi/bus rides should i skip to make up for my e-bike conversion kit...? or even a small fake car like ami or topolino....? hate maths. why is money made of numbers? can't it be made of songs? then i can just sing it all the time and be happy. so unfair.
‘…we need to achieve a minimum of 40% street tree canopy cover, and preferably more, before we start to really feel the benefits of nature’s most advanced air-conditioning technology.’ Me, for Big Issue, on tackling urban #heatwaves…👇 www.bigissue.com/opinion/heat...
i am bad at hills. the speed drop is immediate and my legs hurt. i already have pretty good hilly gears... all electric conversion kits look dodgy to me even the nicely branded ones...

“The Station Nobody Wanted”: the thread about Leith Central
On this day, 123 years ago at 5:55AM, a little steam train puffed out of Leith Central Station. It was an unremarkable opening for a station about which everything was remarkable: its size, its cost, its short operational life, and the fact it was built by a company that never wanted it in the first place. These days if you stand in the car park of what is now the Tesco superstore at the foot of Easter Road, you could be forgiven for thinking the mighty walls infront of you are the remnants of some long-gone defensive rampart. And you'd be half right; they are the remains of Leith Central. A monument to a bitter and protracted corporate conflict waged in 19th century Scotland, a fortification thrown up by one combatant to deliberately keep another out of its territory.

record of my HORSE SUMMER currently trying all outdoorsy stuff after three decades of being neurotic indoor introvert - first adult bicycle at age 30 - first overnight camping last month at age 30+ - renounced reading last month! my first riding lesson just happened a week ago and more are coming
cycling between north west-east edinburgh was pleasant and convenient! thanks to the extensive segregated bike lanes, i was able to cycle to decathlon from leith to pick out some stuff in person without spending extra on transport & enjoying the season & getting some exercise! three in one 🌼🚲
learn from my mistake: before visiting trossachs area for the first time, all i cared about was midges, weather, and the view. but it is essential to consider the distance from major roads. motorcycles are constant and very loud on A84 and adjacent roads
this is pure bliss - i think it's called 'folktronica' Binding Chimes by Herhums (2025) my fav track: Heya herhums.bandcamp.com/album/bindin...

am i getting older? my fav musicians all made their debuts in early to mid 2010s, no later! i am absolutely happy to find out that one of them has released new albums under a different name 👀 don't know what genre it is but it's amazing: midairthief.bandcamp.com/album/flood-...

my favourite traveling method is walking rather than cycling really. i just believe having more bicycles rather than more cars would make walking more pleasant. i desperately need some good, green, car-free, quiet and wider (for walkers) streets.
Leith Feeder Ride to Pedal on Parliament 2026 last Saturday, 30 May – sharing a few shots so we can all remember the lovely green ride and the effort put in to the hill (was it just me) many thanks to the organisers & marshals @leithfeederride.bsky.social @pedalonparliament.org flic.kr/s/aHBqjCVusb

this ironic photo captured the multi-dimensional nature of human, limits of identity politics and shallowness of images itself all in one. a masterpiece.
No doubt keen cyclists. Carbon fibre cervelo season is well into swing
My impression of Voi shared eBike in Edinburgh after a few commutes: 1) very good availability 2) a bit expensive and pass pricing needs strategies (not ideal) 3) minimal physical effort needed - easy to flow with motor traffic without enraging drivers 4) very bumpy; luggage insecure in the basket
