This is the bare truth. Every second of this. This idea needs to break through to the mainstream, and I'm not sure it will; propaganda is extremely difficult to be heard over. But if it did, well, that would be a very good thing.

Normally I just appreciatively read @jamellebouie.net 's columns-sharable video content just isn't my bag. But this is a very, very, very trenchant piece of commentary that captures a lot of how I increasingly understand the disjunction between the commentary environment and on-the-ground politics.

Rainy here today so I took myself to see the Odyssey since no one in my family wanted to commit the 3 hours and it really felt like one I should see in the theater. Fabulous. A capital "M" movie. There's a reason that story has lasted thousands of years.

PLEASE keep this guy on the ballot. How sad is it that I'm rooting for that at this point? This is my (heavily gerrymandered) district and if this abuser moron is on the ballot, then Poindexter has a chance--a CHANCE--to flip. Also sad that the gerrymander will still make it... a chance

Republican leaders worried about Ohio Congressman Max Miller’s reelection chances ohiocapitaljournal.com/2026/08/06/r...

Kinda floored it took this long for my horrific representative Max Miller to get national attention. He lives a mile down the road from me. None of this is news to ANYONE here. End gerrymandering btw. That’s why he is my representative. Let’s flip this seat away from this abuser.

“This isn’t just going to impact tribal people,” he went on, “The American public at large should be concerned about this effort to erode their history, their life ways, and how fast they’re going to see data centers popping up around every corner.” www.nytimes.com/2026/07/31/a...

Critics Say Historic Sites Are Endangered by Trump-Aligned Panel’s Plan (Gift Article)

Proponents say the changes to the federal preservation rules are necessary, but critics argue they are alarming and would help expedite the president’s redesign of Washington.

I live in this district/worked on another candidate's campaign. It was VERY clear-and VERY disappointing-how quickly the Dem Party Establishment backed this candidate solely on image, & Bernie threw his weight into this race. Obvi, still voting for Poindexter. But, symptomatic of larger problems.

The Democratic manly man is back, @russellberman.bsky.social reports, with the party embracing masculinity as a campaign strategy.

I just saw someone say that hindsight is 20/20 on Graham Platner, and let me just say that if you did not see this coming, your vision for such things needs to be checked.
