(Re-uploaded with improved video quality and an error fixed.) Here's the spiral staircase scene from Ys III: Wanderers from Ys across the different versions of the game. For some reason, this scene isn't included in the Famicom and PS2 releases. #Falcom #Ys

I'm trembling while writing this: Kamaitachi no yoru—not the PC remake, not the iOS port, but the actual original SFC version—has been translated at last by ButThouMust, who graciously brought us an English patch for Otogirisou in the past. This is HISTORICAL.

You ever have a game you just KNOW is going to resonate with you deeply, so you hold off on experiencing it until "the time is right"? Moon RPG was always one of those games for me, but today is the day. 🌙

Early 2000s promotional art for White Day. Adore the gentle blue shading used here! White Day wasn't Korea's first horror game, but it certainly was the first one to weave in so much of Korea's rich culture, history and folklore. Can't wait to show you guys what I've been cooking!

One of modern life's most simple pleasures is when the Youtube algorithm feeds you a song from a random PS2 game you've never heard of and it ends being a colossal banger

Whoops, forgot to tell you guys what the next video is actually about. We'll be looking at the Korean indie horror series, White Day! Managed to dig up some reaaaaally fascinating stuff about this one. Look forward to it! 👻 (Folklore vid is still happening dw just on hold for a minute)

next video is cooking! Unfortunately the series I’m covering has like 20+ endings combined across all the games so footage collection is taking longer than usual, but it’s a horror series I’ve been wanting to cover for years so I’m super hype to talk about it finally 👻 Look forward to it!

Started playing the 2000s Silent Hill phone games last week and for reasons unknown they have a taste mechanic you barely ever use Sadly, you cannot lick the monsters. I tried

If gaming goes digital-only, this would be a great opportunity for companies to finally make the effort to digitally preserve their older game catalogs so that the art form is easily accessible, properly documented and no longer lost to time. That would be nice. Do you think they’ll do it

If they remade The Ring it would be a tiktok video. But if you watched it on your phone it would be ok because Sadako would crawl out of the phone screen and she'd be so small

Without sounding conceited, I really think my writing has improved over the last year or so. 20 pages into the next vid script and I'm really happy with how each topic flows and the way I've articulated my thoughts so far, really diggin it Honing your craft is a nice feeling. Feels good!
