When Resident Evil gets badly adapted I get annoyed because I feel like their stories and themes are very easy to follow and understand while remaining engaging throughout, obviously some(og RE2) are much better written than others(RE6). When Silent Hill is badly adapted I get genuinely pissed off.

If I think about Return to Silent Hill too much I start channeling the spirit of AM and begin reciting his hate monologue.

I know Yamaoka wanted Gans to direct a film adaptation of Silent Hill 4, which hopefully is now off the table, but man I just know Gans would take extreme glee in showing us Cynthia's brutal murder and Eileen getting beaten to within an inch of her life. Also somehow Cynthia would deserve it.

I hope the Silent Hill remake doesn't have Ito redesign the monsters. His work is obviously iconic but it is not the right fit for SH1, the unnecessary horniness would be fuckin weird, case in point the first Silent Hill movie's nurses. Also dear God don't let him near Lisa Garland's design!
