🧵🧵🧵 A scandal that hardly anyone knows happened is Trump giving traitor Michael Flynn $1.25 million in your tax money. Flynn, Trump’s 1st national security adviser, pleaded guilty twice to lying to the FBI but was pardoned by Trump. He sued, alleging "weaponization," and DOJ paid him in March. 1/4🧵

Justice Dept. Settles Flynn’s Wrongful Prosecution Suit for $1.25 Million (Gift Article)

The agreement was an extraordinary example of how the Trump administration has offered legal relief to those aligned with the president.

I’ve been screening our documentary with organizing communities in the South. So far, the organizers mention data centers first at every single event. From racial justice orgs to old school activists who don’t usually think about tech policy. This has legs.

This is who the Repub led Senate wants to confirm as the US AG in the next couple days. It’s not about following laws—it’s about controlling women and girls with no regard to health outcomes. WE ARE NOT OUTRAGED ENOUGH! We need to flip 4 Senate seats. Please help get out the VOTE in NOV!

A new Senate investigation says JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank and Bank of America processed massive sums tied to Jeffrey Epstein despite glaring red flags. Powerful institutions helped keep his operation running and every one of them must be held accountable. Follow the money, release everything.

Yep. Earlier this year I was interviewed by Sharyn Alfonsi of 60 Minutes about my Epstein investigation. Subsequently, CBS pulled the segment and fired the reporter. The MAGA buyout of media is aiding the Trump administration’s Epstein cover up.

Banks permitted millions in suspicious transactions tied to Epstein—and former 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi had the story months ago. But the report would never air. trib.al/ZShZlIS

Filing by Emily Moreno’s lawyers re: Max Miller’s “video rant”. “The first time Miller shared the folder, it contained private images of Miller and Ms. Moreno's daughter and left her name unredacted. At least one of those images could be considered Child Sexual Abuse Material (SAM)” - Amy Siskind

Are there any political analysts who are especially dialed in on the topic of data centers? We'd love to have an expert join us on The Downballot podcast to discuss them. Interested in any recs!

I worry that most cynical among us, hopped up on 30 years of law and order rhetoric, will say "this is the system working: he didn't do anything wrong and now he's free." As if the terror and wide-scale publicity of an arrest and federal prosecution is not a horrible punishment in and of itself.
