But despite e-scooter use being more common in cities, where bike and car traffic tends to be heavier, multiple peer-reviewed studies have also found that about [HIGHLIGHTED TEXT] 80 to 90 percent of e-scooter injuries are tied to single-vehicle incidents rather than traffic crashes. Because e-scooter accidents are increasingly common, data on the injury severity is more widely available. It paints a worrisome picture.
