Star Trek: The Original Series A to Z. S is also for Sarek. Played by Mark Lenard, Sarek is the Vulcan representative to The Federation but he is also Spock's Father. It wasn't until the second series episode 'Journey to Babel' that we see his, and Spock's Human Mother Amanda, first appearance.

Standing in front of a rocky space landscape a Vulcan man makes a Vulcan hand salute signifying a blessing meaning "live long and prosper".

Watermark @strlug.bsky.social is sharing fascinating TOS film clips here, and I own a bunch of these from Lincoln Enterprises but none, I think, as interesting. But I should share too, so here is Ted Sturgeon's story outline for Amok Time, from his typewriter collectingtrek.ca/2019/01/07/a...

No Chapel, no T’Pau. The original Amok Time story outline

I own the Amok Time story outline Ted Sturgeon submitted to Gene Roddenberry. It’s a fascinating look at the process of creating an episode and at the Trek that could have been.

It is wild how deforest kelley has such a distinct and attractive face. I think other trek characters change image a lot in my mind bc I'm so into writing and enjoying fan content so they get transformed. But my brain defaults to deforest for mccoy in any circumstance.

I still think about this screenshot where they just kissed but they shouldn't have. Kirk and spock hiding their love affair from everyone else gets me hopping and zooming around like a golden retriever

Spock and Captain Kirk from Star Trek. Kirk is in the foreground looking forward and down while wiping his slightly mouth with his hand. His expression is serious and thoughtful. He is walking away from Spock, who is seen in profile and partly obscured.
