It’s been hot here (for us) so Charlie has not wanted to go far for his midday walk. But it was just cool enough that when rounded the block back to home, he decided he wanted to go to the park to see if the squirrels were home.

Too many genuinely bad people, who have behaved rather badly and have big problems are absolutely drawn to conservative politics/culture. And Republican voters love them. And they love to tell you they don’t care about any of it.

I really think we gotta explore why Republicans keep voting for guys whose whole personas are "serial killer with a chip on his shoulder." What is it about these obvious pieces of shit that draws these voters in.

Remarkable the degree to which the IRGC is just not going to let Trump walk away with anything he can call a win. I scoffed a little bit when some security experts said that basically 'humiliation of enemies' was an Iranian regime pattern in terms of aims, but that doesn't seem far off.

Interestingly, I think the root of MAHA is this idea of personal responsibility for health conditions because these people think it’s *just* what you eat. A lot of the people behind it are big into shame. And disturbingly, I think this crosses the left/right spectrum.
