UAW Power! UAW members have knocked 15k doors and made 135k phone calls. We’ve turned out 112,877 UAW voters as of Sunday, 9.3% of all early votes cast in Michigan.

The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

The lettuce-producing Taylor Farms was linked to the widespread use of prison labor before its involvement in a cyclospora outbreak.

Today I heard Shawn Fain tell a room full of 1000 higher ed workers that Gretchen Whitmer is a sell out piece of shit who carried water for the Ford company during their last contract campaign

We all win with Medicare for All! The UAW supports Medicare for All because everyone deserves quality healthcare. M4A would also strengthen our hand at the bargaining table to fight for better wages, time off, and retirement security for every UAW member!

What does "pre-contract unionism" mean? It means we become a union by acting like a union. Many of us don't have collective bargaining rights, but that doesn't stop us from coming together as colleagues and using our collective power to fight for ourselves and our students. @aft.org @aaup.org

We have $ for a dozen ICE agents to hang around for hours trying to arrest 2 roofers working in MN. Meanwhile, the agency that investigates and prosecutes violations of Americans' right to organize is shedding staff again. Now down to like 1 agency staff per 145,000 workers.

This is a great piece on Trump's near-destruction of the National Labor Relations Board. (And I'm betting they don't let the Acting GC go on-the-record about anything after his performance here. Kudos to @msainato.bsky.social for a very effective interview.) www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

NEW: A 28-year-old man died Tuesday morning following an encounter with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations agents in St. Augustine, marking the third death involving ICE in a week.

"NSF employees are now concerned that the $1 billion of withheld funds will not be released. If they are not, the combination of withheld funds and clawbacks would result in funding cuts of more than 30% for most directorates compared with their planned spending for 2025"

New: The National Science Foundation is preparing to claw back some $500 million in funds from some of its core science programs in physics, math, computer science, and engineering in order to fund a project from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

People are right to be mad about the predictable Platner fiasco, but it's worth remembering that last year a ton of establishment Democrats supported disgraced sexual harasser Andrew Cuomo against clean-as-a-whistle Zohran. Tolerating problem men is an issue across the ideological spectrum.
