In 1991, when I was a freshman in college, Magic Johnson was diagnosed with HIV. My roommate (a basketball player and fan) was genuinely devastated. We all assumed this meant he would be dead within a couple of years. He's 67 now. ❤️ bsky.app/profile/mdru...
Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?
Cemetery coyote spotted this morning! Absolutely gorgeous animal, sauntering along the bike path.
The spooky season has arrived, and that means Creepy Biology is upon us. It's time to talk origins. It's time to talk gore. It's time to talk about BLOOD. Specifically, YOUR blood 🩸 [a thread]
Today I got complimented on my “I can fly anything” tote bag by a young teenage girl in Spirit Halloween. “I like your bisexual bag, I’m bisexual too.” 💙💜💖

Continuing to refine my half-elven paladin costume. Original design by @valentinebarker.com , gradual accretion of costume pieces from various local and online vendors. Valentine did the moon/diamond design for her shield originally but I decided to use it as a tattoo cover up today.
Emergency restyling complete! Ripley is again a hot mess of curls, as she should be.

Just a heads up. I was able to schedule my COVID vaccine appointment. Online it may ask “do you have a condition that puts you at high risk for severe outcomes from COVID-19 virus.” Click yes and it will allow you to schedule an appointment. No questions asked. No proof required. Pass it on.
We are finishing up the quarter in style. Started with 111 in Canvas, two paper exams, one stack of untabulated scantrons, and three classes to finalize grades for. It’s all due 11:59 pm tomorrow.
