You can and should point out that police killing people daily is the "norm" in America. But that doesn't mean you *accept* the normalization of this violence and the way some people rush to smugly point these things out contributes to collective fatigue. Your horror has been stolen from you.
To date, immigration officials have shot and killed 11 people, including two Minnesotans. Across the country, they operate with no respect for human life, the law, or consequences. There's no reforming this agency. Rip it apart.

One thing I’ve said a lot is that a component of the trans panic success is upper-middle/upper class excessive investment in children’s sports as a pathway to elite college access and the resource hoarding ingrained in that impulse.

Fun reminder that Minnesota is bigger than over 50% of other COUNTRIES. I’m one of the 52%. I used to feel shame about it, but I don’t anymore. It’d be so expensive and inconvenient to move states away from my support systems, and sometimes MPLS and STP feel like lightyears apart. Travel suffices.

Denying benefits to a U.S. citizen if one of their parents is an immigrant, documented or otherwise. It’s not “more children” these people want. They want children of a specific kind — and while they mostly don’t say so aloud, their policies are blatant about it.
