Health evidence wonk by day, 📯-blower by night. ♠️❤️. Incorrigible optimist. Settler Canadian. Opinions are my own. (she/her).

Confederation is like a family. Ultimatums, threats and escape plans are not a way to make a family work. Premier Smith should ask herself what her intentions are here. Is she comfortable with where this might lead? Are we, as Albertans? Let’s be constructive. Canada is worth it.

🇺🇲: There is an incredible irony in the fact that the most anti-government, fervent defenders of the 2nd Amendment, which was written to allow Americans to defend themselves against the government, are the very ones who are allowing their government to attack the citizenry.

Trump also tipped his hand again today about what matters to him & what he responds to. He reacted strongly to energy - clearly one of our strongest chips. He praised Doug Ford as a strong leader. He respects strength. He fears the damage we can do to him with energy (and potash). Act accordingly.

For those of you in Alberta, pulling your hair out because ⁦‪@MarkJCarney‬⁩ will become a PM without a seat, how quickly you forgot this. It’s how the system works. “New Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, A Premier Without A Seat” #ableg #cdnpoli www.thedailyscrumnews.com/new-alberta-...

A friendly reminder. Yes, Carney will be Prime Minister without a seat as the Liberal party members alone elected him, just as Danielle Smith became Premier without a seat as the UCP members alone elected her. It's how our system has always worked, it's not new.

A thought. No matter how angry you might be about an egregious or noxious piece of public radio programming - you may want to consider the precedent/consequences of inviting cabinet ministers to interfere with such programming decisions. Because some day a future Heritage Minister may well do so.
