Today I took a bike to an appointment. By TTC it would take me about 30 mins but on a bike it was 1/2 that. I took Tecumseth to Palmerston which had a mix of shared & dedicated lanes. Quiet, uneventful & fabulous. I’m def out of shape 😂 & not ready for a long ride but I will get there!

People cycling in from Beaches East York, University Rosedale, Spadina-Fort York, Toronto Centre all have one thing in common. Dedicated North/South protect cycle tracks. You don’t have to convince people to come. The invitation is embedded in prioritizing the safety vulnerable road users. 2/

Councillor Holyday uses his laptop to show off the operating area for Pearson compared to the island airport area. He argues that the island airport's area is mostly over the water. His point, I think, is that he believes expanding the island airport would affect fewer people than expanding Pearson.

Councillor Neethan Shan points to stats in the report showing worsening response times in his Ward 25 - Scarborough Rouge Park ward. Jessop says the issue has his "full attention" and he's working with other city departments to improve things.

Probably slower in those areas because of all the dedicated bike lanes…oh wait a tick…

I am not a climate scientist but when I was a kid the number of times we couldn’t go outside because of Canadian wildfire smoke was zero times
