Therianthropy is an umbrella term for a wide range of experiences. Just because you're a therian, and experience something in a specific way, doesn't mean all therians experience it the same way. And neither is any more or less #therian. It's just different variations of what we call therianthropy.

En intressant feedback jag fick var att måndagens presentation, där jag pratade mer om mina egna upplevelser och gav tips om hur man hanterar instinkter, skiften osv var mer intressant.

It's fascinating how furries believe that harassment and bullying are totally acceptable, as long as you only apply it to "bad guys". And since you can freely choose who to label "good" or "bad", you've just created yourself a universal excuse that morally justifies whatever the hell you want.

This may be an unpopular opinion (I'm not sure), but: It strikes me as odd how often I see posts about therianthropy going in a direction of equating being a non-human animal with total freedom and lack of any obligations. Following an anthropomorphized "nature = freedom" fallacy, so to speak. 1/3

🧵 When I was 14-15-ish, me and my friends met this lesbian who was probably around 18-20 (adult and cool!). And we all sat in awe when she just ... told us about being a lesbian. What it was like coming out, good comebacks to stupid comments, stuff like that.

As someone who originally comes from a different field (engineering / IT), it's quite fascinating to see how much and how little we know about the phylogeny of life at the same time. Which means I regularly stumble upon basic questions where, when I look for an answer, it's "we're not really sure".

The fundamental sin of using LLMs for anything — code, research, letters to your granny — is to conflate writing with thinking. Writing is only one building block of the edifice of thought, and if your CEO's writing is the bottleneck in their thinking then they're not doing very much thinking.

Unfortunately, this makes way too much sense to me. Also: everyone, please see this as your friendly reminder that acceptance is achieved by "punching up", not by "punching down" on groups even more hated than yourselves / respectability politics.

Also why I've had such conflicting emotions about Pride events. It's gotten much better, more diverse. But I've also learnt how to guard my heart, and not be so naïve.

On 2: I'm a software dev, not a visual artist - but I'm the type that just... genuinely enjoys the act of making the software. One of the things I figured out in the more recent years is that what I want to do is *create*. I could never be a proper manager, it would distance me from making things.

I think this is worth addressing, because Ai I does offer workflow speed ups. 1. It is brand toxic even as a capitalist artist to use, and brand is critical. 2. Not everyone wants to be a manager and its almost certainly not why most people become artists. 3. Your skills as an artist will decline

When I was a teen, I was desperate to find other "werewolves" like me. Asked friends, posted online. Formed a "pack", we howled together and had fun. But in a year or two, everyone else grew tired of the "game". It wasn't a game for me, and I thought it had been real for them too.
