While world leaders are hell bent on ‘saving the kids’ by enabling mass censorship & surveillance measures like ID checks or kicking teens off of social media, we seldom hear what kids have to say about it, even though many of them are doing incredible things for accountability movements.

See, people always want to make this just about "sports," but the real upshot here is that, 6-3, trans women can't make a claim under the Equal Protection Clause. And if they can't do that, it's hard to see how they have constitutional rights.

I'm working on a story on this as well, but the takeaway out of this is that Mamdani's direct-care clinic will apparently ban trans youth from getting care, will only provide it to adults. This is because of fear of loss of federal funding. This is DIRECTLY the capitulation reason NYU/Sinai gave.

and: we have been told for (at least) twenty-five years that American airports are the first/last/whatever line of defense in protecting the “homeland,” and in that light ICE being detailed to TSA jobs in airports feels like less an aberration than where DHS was always going to lead us
