Now that Dr. Abdul El-Sayed has won the primary, i think he needs to begin addressing the concerns of people who are extremely racist against him
I think even a vulgar analysis of the win should reach this conclusion: the primary was close because a US record was spent to prop up one side of it, and the Michigan GOP functionally doesn’t exist on the ground or financially.

I’m giving the mumbling “i’m still concerned about electability” operatives and thoughtfluencers a one day jubilee to metabolize this election result and this candidate’s messaging. One day to decide whether they actually hold the principles they would have immediately invoked for his opponent.

Lot of people who refused to accept that building a coalition to win an election is the candidate’s job and not a voter’s moral responsibility suddenly changing their mind on that in real time, I see!

Speaking of “calling out a trope is not a worthy critique” discourse: watched Cloud (2024) last night, a movie by an insanely great director who knows how to invoke tropes as a means of reaching beyond their usual signifiers toward something deeper, which Nolan is more or less incapable of doing.
