It's weird how everyone forgot about all of that speculation about the president's mental status and cognitive assessments and such now that there is complicated geopolitical stuff happening. Seems like we shouldn't dance around it so much?
the same way eliminating car dealers, realtors and other parasitic right-wing industries needs to be a goal of the left for its own survival, eliminating chriorpactors, the supplements industry and other quack medicine needs to be on the agenda too

The biggest downside to living in the united states isn't creeping authoritarianism, guns, violence, lack of healthcare, affordability, or an incredible myopia about world events. The real downside is that with all of our FREEDOM we have the most limited chip selection in the whole fucking world.

I think they might have better luck spending two thousand dollars holding a press conference where they detail who made the key decisions to collaborate with the Trump administration, how and when they were fired, and explaining what would stop that from happening again.

There's no ICE accountability without ending qualified immunity. They're murdering people. There won't be justice for the lives they've stolen, but there must be accountability. My bill with @markey.senate.gov would ensure families can sue the agents murdering their loved ones.

Jon Collins@jcollins.bsky.social · 7mo agoMinneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey says 29 people were arrested in downtown last night during a noise demonstration at a hotel reportedly housing ICE agents: "For those that are taking the bait and causing property damage or otherwise, there are consequences. We're holding the line here all the way."
So when they lose - and I think they will lose - it will be important for there to be an office at the DOJ under President AOC or whoever with the sole job of combing through ICE and CBP's files and charging every agent that broke the law. Because there's going to be a lot.
If Hakeem Jeffries really votes to increase funding for ICE when ICE and CBP agents are shooting people in the street and the Democratic base wants ICE abolished, then I think Chi and DSA actually do have to challenge him this year.
BREAKING: ICE killed a Minnesota woman in broad daylight & there must be accountability. But when I moved to subpoena all records & footage related to this murder, Republicans voted it down. They've never cared about law & order or keeping our communities safe.
I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy. She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.
