There are undeniable strains of Amber Heard and Gamergate to this. Women creators who are speaking out in support of feminism and to advocate for postpartum healthcare are being targeted with an outpouring of extremely violent misogynistic rhetoric. They’re channeling support to end women’s rights.
The right-wing organizing around the Lindsay Clancy trial is growing and it’s frightening. A lot of people overlook these culture wars revolving around women’s issues, because, well, they’re women’s issues. But the right doesn’t. It’s how they regained such a massive cultural foothold.
