And, ideally, it would leave so many of them broke that it actually becomes a deterrent. Being poor is truly all they care about not because they don’t care about prison.
“We have to be seen as the grownups…” No. You fucking took an oath to defend this country. That means not giving an inch to fascists. You block them, you obstruct them and you yank them out of power. Period.
