I consider ‘Days and Nights in the Forest’ not only Satyajit Ray’s masterpiece, but one of the greatest films ever made. I’ve been waiting decades for a restoration – and if you don’t know the film, or have only seen it in one of those ghastly YouTube transfers, I urge you to seek it out. ⬇️

I left 5 copies of Rebecca Solnit’s Hope in the Dark in a little free library yesterday and 3 are already gone. Passing the idea along for anyone else who wants to inspire or support anti-fascist workers but isn’t particularly mobile.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
