Just finished Spiral (the first sequel to Ringu) and I can tell why they did Ringu 2. I liked it, but it's such a departure from Ringu that I can see why the general audience didn't.

Finally picked Up Death Stranding 2 on the fall sale and right off the bat, two things: 1) Holy shit, is this game gorgeous 2) Sam is living my dream at the start of the game, living out in the middle of nowhere with no human contact. I’d also love walking vast distances with no human contact.
I’ve never heard an end credits song and thought “OMG THIS IS BAD I DEMAND THEY CHANGE IT!!” Instead, I just turn whatever it is off and go on with my day because it has ZERO IMPACT ON ANYTHING THAT ACTUALLY MATTERS.
If I knew how to make a game I’d make a Tokyo Jungle-like.
Rolled credits on Townfall. Really enjoyed it. Even though it was radically different, it still felt like a lot like Silent Hill, especially 2. I do think F is still my personal favorite, but Townfall is definitely A-tier Silent Hill.

Silent Hill: Townfall has solved the “once I get a weapon and get used to the mechanics I’m not really THAT scared anymore” by making me do the one thing I will never be confident with: stealth mechanics. It’s good.
I’ve only just reached the Silent Hill: Townfall title card, but the music and atmosphere has me gripped. Even with all the spooky stuff, I’d live in St. Amelia in a heartbeat. On the coast and multiple places to get fish & chips? I’m in.
I haven’t seen Resident Evil yet, but I’m watching Barbarian for the first time and it feels a lot like it could be a Lisa Trevor-like side-story from one of the games.

20 years since playing a pirated copy of Revelations: Persona on PS1 and never finishing it, 17 years since trading in my PSP for a Go and never being able to finish it (it never got a digital release), I have finally beaten the first Persona. It was a game I always regretted never seeing through.
