Just updated iOS to 18.3, had to jump through these hoops to disable Chat GPT integration (Different in iPhone 15 or 16): Settings → Screen Time Content & Privacy Restrictions → (Enable toggle) → Intelligence & Siri → Turn off desired Al teatures.

Basically traps AI crawlers and sends them down an "infinite maze" of static files with no exit links, where they get stuck and thrash around for months. Once trapped, the crawlers can be fed gibberish data, aka Markov babble, which is designed to poison AI models arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...

I’m glad so many people have found my “capybara method” for how to write alt text and image descriptions helpful! However, I know conflicting access needs exist and not everyone can write their own #AltText, so here’s an ongoing thread of tools that can help. Inclusion in thread ≠ endorsement

The reason A.I. is being shoved down our throats is shareholders want a return on their investment. Every company that integrates this crappy tech into their products knows you don't want it, but they've sunk too much money into it and don't care. Turn it off, don't use it, don't look back.

I remember when we were trying to tell folks that amongst the minorities, Black people would be amongst the first to be displaced by gen AI. Now look at this BS. Meta have created a model minority person which, if we’re being honest, is made to fit into the white gaze. 🫠
