I opened my DMs for someone who was genuinely asking for more info and was then flooded with complete strangers telling me I was making shit up and demanding I explain myself and so on. I'm feeling very vindicated by the latest news i.e. Brand New Day & Doomsday

I'm just gonna say: it somewhat baffles me that people who are understandably skeptical of opaque LLMs as legitimate sources of information will suddenly go full on "the computer KNOWS" when they are using opaque tools to "detect" AI. The computer does not know.

LLMs are nuts. I can tell when someone has been interacting with one too much. Frictionlessness, endless scrolls, thoughtless subscription fulfillment, it was supposed to automate our drudgery, but it's muted our souls and turned us into smooth brained consumption automatons.

That's how building a stronger community works, yes. Those who can afford it pay a bit more so those who can't afford it have access to basic needs (food, healthcare, etc.). And ultimately, those who paid more? They benefit from it too because they get more cool stuff and a thriving community

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful
