#franklinpark was never intended to be a golf course. It was supposed to be a huge chunk of land put aside for the public to use. Its time we take it back. There are 7 other golf courses within a 10 mile radius. We don't need one in the center of Boston.

Lover of transit, city design & planning, housing and hoping to make a difference. Life should be easy for everyone to get around and enjoy. Dream big we can do it! #boston #trains #bikes #bus #housing #massachusetts https://www.trainsbikesbus.com/
How do we heal the Franklin park scars we've created? Slicing it in half with a road, building a golf course on public land that a tiny fraction of people utilize, ripping out trains that brought people there safely, and easily. It hurt the entire community www.trainsbikesbus.com/franklin-par...
Franklin park is a centerpiece - Blue Hill Ave is a connector. We need a train on blue hill ave, buses to work in support, but the long term vision for blue hill ave should be a train supported by buses, bike lanes, and sidewalks. www.trainsbikesbus.com/franklin-par...
Instead of a golf course, we could transform franklin park entirely in to a bigger, more connected, more usable space. One that is built for everyone, one that we take a bit of space on the edges and provide thousands of units of housing. It can be done! www.trainsbikesbus.com/franklin-par...
In this article I've put together all kinds of interactivity. Housing Yield calculators that show comparative projects from around the world, revenue, energy generation, jobs, units...the calculator alone is worth a look. Ideas for every season & the benefits www.trainsbikesbus.com/franklin-par...
i've been working on parts of #boston that need to be re-imagined, how we get more housing, how we expand parks, public transit & why history matters to how we got to the situations we're in now give it a read =D www.trainsbikesbus.com/franklin-par...

this is crazy. This isn't even a tall building, how in the heck is this going to "effect" the arboretum. I love that place but this has got to be some kinda joke. The current building in this spot is literally 3 stories, did they yell at the nuns living there? This is why boston has no housing.

Hooray! Maybe this time they'll be able to reach adulthood and grow in to strong, proud bollards.
Improved. Big rocks would be better
#franklinpark #boston re-imagined. Taking back the meadow and turning it into something truly groundbreaking, welcoming & wonderful for our city. Housing, expanded parks, elder care, childcare, energy, revenue for the city, vertical farms, its a vision worthy of what Boston should be aiming for.

Boston Critical Mass - Ride For Louisa. Meet at Copley Square, Friday July 31 at 18:30.
If only the USA tracks matched their trains. In theory, we could actually have true bullet train speed all over #massachusetts & new england...but we need separated tracks and investing in new rail. Can't use the old stuff, ain't gonna work for true high speed rail. NYC ride is bumpy as hell #boston
Something I find particularly infuriating is that when you *do* act outraged over pedestrian deaths you are treated as hysterical and as if you're overreacting.
"As a society, we are horrified by gun violence, but generally give scant attention to deaths on our roads that result from motoristsβ choices." From @seanyyz.bsky.social
This is why I believe major projects should focus on trains with buses in support roles. And while I support upgrading blue Hill Ave to bus lanes it is something that will need upgrading to a train in the future. Buses are not an end game solution but a stepping stone. Train is the true solution.
To carry 50,000 people per hour in each direction, a city needs a 175m wide road for cars. Even if those cars are electric. And then thereβs all the parking. OR a city can move A LOT MORE people in a lot less space, with A LOT LESS public money, emissions, pollution, noise etc. Choices. Simple.
Just a reminder. When projects are proposed you should send in your ideas π‘ because voices in support of public infrastructure like protected bike lanes, trains, sidewalks, buses r very useful 4 planners. Always loud car voices but they need public infrastructure voices even a small comment is good
its time for leaders to follow facts not car brainwashed opinions. Truth is, cities don't need cars. They do need delivery, emergency, construction, and assistance vehicles. But in general, especially a city like #boston cars really aren't needed. You can bike across it in about half hour
stuff like this i'd like the mayor to really dig into and clear up if its not true. I truly want to be a backer of hers, but she needs to do a better job of getting in front of this stuff, coming up with clear plans for the next few years and just doing it. Mayor of NYC is a good example of
A public records request reveals how @mayorwu.boston.gov's election-year "review" of transportation projects created a duplicate layer of authority inside City Hall that fomented confusion and stalled urgent safety initiatives: mass.streetsblog.org/2026/07/22/f...
And one note to the Wu administration, which I support in its climate work: Bostonβs Green Ribbon Commission is, was, and will remain beholden to developers. Ask me for receipts. Developers building in flood zones should have already contributed $100s of millions into a climate mitigation fund.
Take a look at the roles Councilor Coletta-Zapata, Senator Edwards and Rep. Michlewitz have played *in partnership* with the Wu admin. Thereβs a reason Seaportβs shortfalls in resiliency planning are known internationally. Thereβs a reason politically-connected landowners rely on public bailouts.
dropping my kids off at summer camp one thing i notice - is that the police have no way of enforcing traffic laws. No turn on red? Nah no one cares. Red lights? nah no one cares. Blocking intersections at lights? nah no one cares. Stop babying cars and treat them like adults. Accountability.

A whole lot of people with otherwise progressive views suddenly get real mad when you talk about doing anything at all to address the scourge of speeding drivers killing people
Someday #massachusetts may actually follow the examples put before us of a modern public transit system that can comfortably and efficently help us get where we need to go. #boston needs to lead the way. Create a 10-25-50 year vision. Dream big, we can do great things if we go all in.

Most of North Carolina has now eliminated minimum parking requirements for new development... ...Boston has not.
#boston same thing. Just put in automation for blocking intersections & red light running. Its obvious police can't enforce this without automation. Just do it...why do cars always a get a free pass? this is crazy, we just lost a city planner for the city of #boston. Do something!
