Call Congress: (202) 224-3121

There are only three possible futures: a) everyone in the Trump admin goes to jail, rule of law partially restored; b) Dems retaliate in full, and maybe that's a deterrent; c) neither (a) nor (b), so lawless authoritarianism wins again, and when Republicans regain power they ramp it up even more.

“Trump has rejected disaster aid for Democratic-run states at the highest rate in the 47-year history of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.” Right now people in blue states are basically paying federal taxes as if they’re colonized territories of red states. www.politico.com/news/2026/03...

Trump has denied most disaster requests from Democratic-led states

Curmudgeon mode: “Baby on Board” signs are emergency safety equipment and should be clearly identifiable and easy to read. Branded ones featuring cartoon characters should not be used.

The only historically accurate film of The Odyssey would be entirely set in a fire lit room where a half inebriated poet recites the Ancient Greek to a crowd of fully blasted, totally unruly, and more than a little homoerotic bros

folks, i’d read your thoughtful analyses if they weren’t on the profitsharing with andrew tate et al site. it’s 2026. this isn’t “i can’t avoid shopping at every store that donates to the GOP” or “if i don’t use microsoft at work i get fired,” you don’t have to do this & i have other people to read.

This is a usefully revealing comment in how it shows that the US is not protecting Israeli leaders from war crimes charges because Israel is somehow manipulating the US through Epstein kompromat, but simply the shared interests of war criminals.

Tom Cotton: "Ultimately, it's not about Prime Minster Netanyahu and Israel -- it's about arresting Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth and Marco Rubio in the future if they ever travel abroad."

Currently: GOP: 52 (since McConnell isn't voting/working) Dems: 47 What people pushing the "McConnell is dead and Beshear needs to act!" theory want for the next 5 months (for much of which the Senate *isn't even in session*): GOP: 52 Dems: 48 Doesn't really make a difference.

Tired of the election conspiracies that get so much traction on this site. The reasons Trump’s 2020 loss was secure and accurately counted are the same reasons his 2024 victory was secure and accurately counted. Losing sucks, but deflecting blame on a fake conspiracy doesn’t help win the next one.

When your party controls the White House, both houses of Congress, and a majority of the states’ legislatures and governors’ mansions, it doesn’t sound like you’ve been the victim of voter fraud. It sounds like you don’t want to be held accountable by the voters for your record.

Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare told Houston Public Media on Thursday that his office is conducting its own investigation into a federal immigration agent's fatal shooting of a man in Houston earlier this week.

Exclusive: Harris County DA says his office is investigating fatal ICE shooting in Houston

There have been widespread calls for an independent investigation since the Tuesday shooting death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo by a federal immigration agent.

bluesky is being fucky but for those too lazy to click the link here is the meat of it: Salgado is driving, unmarked ICE vehicle follows, swerves, and tries to cut him off, and Salgado drives away. No indication that it's an ICE vehicle. Why would he pull over?
