It's genuinely fascinating that the US president keeps announcing that he just flat out doesn't know what trade is, he legit doesn't appreciate the concept of exchange and instead views economic activity through the lens of a dragon attempting to maximise its gold hoard to sit upon.

The US has ~220 cops per 100,000 people. Trinidad, TX, has a pop of 860 and ~7 full-time equivalent cops. That's a rate of over 800 cops per 100,000! And they were spending ~35% of the local budget on them. For policing so bad the mayor is quoted saying he wasn't surprised by the closure! Why?!

Corporate Media would have crucified Hunter if he had a Russian oligarch pay for his wedding while Biden was president, but they will bury Donald Jr. doing it. Easy to become inured to absurd asymmetric accountability, but critical to hammer home to US that Corporate Media is biased for Trump.
Irish protestor on Trump's visit: "He's everything wrong in this kind of society. I don't know why we welcomed him here…Ireland and America's friendship is still strong. Trump being here is kind of tarnishing that, because he goes against what America should be."
Media doing all of the work for the GOP today, breathlessly promoting Trump's bribe. GOP only need to convince a few percent of voters to make the difference between GOP or Dems controlling House and Senate. That's a low bar, and people are stupid. There is a very real risk that this bribe works.
So maddening that Trump gets about 1/10 as much criticism from reporters for saying "This is the greatest economy in history" as Biden got for saying "I know times are tough, but it's getting better" which was supposedly such a terribly insensitive affront to Americans' lived experience
Imagine the self restraint to wait two and a half decades to tell this story for the first time.

What are the chances that this is true and he's telling it for the first time 25 years later? I mean, good god, people. The president's brain is broken. We have to stop him now before our national disaster gets even worse.
