Tire blew out in the express lane on my way to work this morning. Spent 4 hours getting that taken care of in 95 degree heat with nothing to smoke because my fuck ass state made it a felony.

The thing about turning 30, regardless of your upbringing or experience, is *everyone* sees you as an adult at that point, and it changes A LOT in very subtle ways that add up. For better or worse. It's a mind fuck that takes a few years to settle into.

The most egregious sin that THE NEW MUTANTS commits is wasting the pitch-perfect casting of Anya Taylor-Joy and Maisie Williams. I was a NEW MUTANTS fanatic in the '80s, and I cannot think of two more perfect people for those roles in a totally frustrating mess of a movie.
