Take a break from being depressed that everything you love is being destroyed by slop for a moment and let me tell you about the beautiful symbiotic relationship between graffiti writers, train yard workers, and model train enthusiasts.
a lot to laugh at here but i think his “im simply too smart for chess” thing gets to the root of his pathology. inability to accept being bad at something leads to a lofty insistence you’re above it. you have to accept the ways you’re stupid by the time you’re 30 or you will die like this!
lol
call me the lara croft of posting the way i'm cooking on my phone
yeah sure whatever, let lara croft cook potato stew on her phone for 2m0s of damage resistance who gives a shit anymore
This passage in You Can't Win, the autobiography of Jack Black, a thieving hobo jailbird from 1926, struck me as extremely powerful. "Each of us must be tempered in some fire... and instead of finding fault with the fire I give thanks that I had the metal to take the temper & hold it."
I'm sure Bluesky hacked off most of that headline on mobile, so:
"'Where'd EA go? It's been purchased. So we didn't have a wall there,' Adams said. 'Could have had a wall. Didn't have a wall. Many such cases.'"
I would like, just once more, to congratulate our lofty intellectual betters in the British political commentary and pundit set for elevating this transparently cynical, self-serving pig to the country's highest political office on the basis of his flawless ethics and commitment to public service.
sometimes i write some scathing post and just put it in my drafts which is fun because months later i find them again completely devoid of whatever the context was in which i was so annoyed that i wrote it. this one below is one such case, but it is also evergreen.
I’m sure most of you aren’t watching the US Open right now which means you missed this instantly iconic moment, now available in gif form
when jigsaw is making a broken glass trap do you think he sits around breaking all the bottles himself or do you think he makes a contraption to do it for him. 'hoffman is the contraption' is a solid answer but if he's not about yknow
the most surprising thing about milo is that he hasnt done the 'apologetic return to liberalism in the face of evil' grift-pivot yet. if you want a list of wreckers never to be trusted, look at the people who entertain this bullshit when it inevitably happens.
put on a black metal album and within five seconds i can tell it was recorded in a professional studio and mastered by someone who knows how to use the machine. fuck off
as with gta5 i dont expect i'll play gta6 until at least a year after release (i don't have any modern consoles and my PC needs an upgrade) so i'm really just commenting to comment
it is interesting that rockstar still havent fixed the stilted "NPC walks to location, says line while animating, walks to next location" in-gameplay dialogue problem, even in the trailer, so all the characters still feel like amateur screen actors who have their marks taped to the floor out of shot
before posting, ask yourself: is this a broader societal issue or did you see an annoying shut-in 19 year old's opinion on social media and get really really mad
A Green party gain in a Dover ward, where the right had 54% of the vote split 3 ways (half for 27% Reform, a third 17% for the Conservatives, a fifth for 11% Restore) while the Greens won 2/3 of the 45% voting Green or Labour in this contest
