The bar exam is an inherently prejudicial requirement that locks out lower income individuals from becoming attorneys, tests nothing that law school accreditation and proper standards don't, and does nothing to prepare new grads for legal practice. Abolish the bar exam.

I wrote about the hotass mess that hundreds of recent law grads in Washington are going through for no good reason! ballsandstrikes.org/legal-cultur...

NO ONE ASSOCIATED WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN IN ANY WAY IN HISTORY HAS EVER REFERRED TO US AS "BIG BLUE"

Team USA Curler Rich Ruohonen: "We'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention what's going on in Minnesota...I am a lawyer, as you know, and we have a constitution... and what's happening in Minnesota is wrong. There's no shades of gray. It's clear."

there's this new dynamic where the DOJ cannot win in court and is (relatedly) incapable of meeting the minimum threshold of professional legal conduct, and so an increasing percentage of its actions are purely for intimidation and content

This or just dumping people *in the woods* AND sending folks out w/o their phone or I.D. Volunteers w/ Safe Haven wait at the gate & do sweeps of the woods, with warm clothes, a burner, and a ride home, "so no one is left alone at the gate." I donated; pls join me if you can: gofund.me/7d506a3d0

I spent the evening outside the Whipple federal building in Minneapolis, where the feds have been releasing people they detained — often for no discernible reason — into the freezing cold... wearing whatever little clothing they had on at the time they were taken.

“We are a Minneapolis 2nd grade Brownie Troop of 12 including trans and neurodiverse youth and 75% BIPOC kids. We want to go to summer camp and try horseback riding! During the current ICE occupation we need your support more than ever...” And that’s how I ordered 4 boxes of thin mints.

A friend shared with me a girl scout cookie link from a group that's having a hard time selling in Minneapolis right now. digitalcookie.girlscouts.org/scout/troop5...

Remember the other day when I was saluting my friend Greg Ketter, owner of Minneapolis’ DreamHaven Books? This is him the following day. Greg will never say this, so I will — now is a great time to buy books from DreamHaven. Support Americans who stand up vs. 🧊. dreamhavenbooks.com

Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

Two women trained as first responders were abducted by three ICE agents. One of the agents starts seizing. The other two don’t know what to do. The women jump into action and save the agent’s life, only to be re-handcuffed and processed. www.startribune.com/detained-by-...

Detained by ICE, two women became first responders during agent’s seizure

The women say they guided agents through the emergency, later raising concerns about medical protocols, weapons safety and accountability.
