For the past five months the only refugees the USA has accepted are white South Africans fleeing equality & safety meanwhile they are disappearing or strapping ankle monitors on any Haitian they can get ahold of. It needs to be understood how thoroughly connected these two things are.

I was talking with a swing state Trump voter this weekend. He said he was for a two state solution. I said it was the wrong question—how would Palestine defend itself? What about the right of return? He got quiet, & ultimately agreed we need to force Israel to answer these questions. It’s not hard!

I had become accustomed to thinking that a viral post on Bluesky was 4000 likes but every day for the past week I’ve seen something like this that has 27,000

Confused Donald the Duck with text saying Riddelle me this Why is there money for corporations but not for we the people

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

West Coast cities are caught in a doom loop where the problem keeps growing but political elites refuse to admit that solving it requires more funding. Every few years someone comes along promising to "finally" crack down, gets elected and fails to deliver. That would have been worth writing about.

IDK if people are talking about Kai Cenat's public reading journey, but he's using his power for good. A lot of people can't read. At least not at what we consider adequate levels. And it is not their fault. Society as a whole severely pulled away from literacy advocacy.

I think a lot of us millennials & older really take it for granted that we were the last of only a couple generations where there was an all-encompassing campaign to encourage literacy. Everyone used to agree upon it. There were commercials with your favorite celebrities just being like, "READ!"

Concerns over fake phenomena cannot be held in good faith. There's no such thing as "good faith" concern over razorblades in Halloween apples or vaccines causing autism. If you still have 'concerns' about these issues you are uninformed, a bigot or being manipulated. No other option.

🇹🇳 Over the last few weeks, I've caught a lot folks who don't follow Tunisia on a regular basis wondering what protests in the country -- be it around the five year anniversary of Kais Saied's power grab or the widespread electricity and water cuts -- might mean.

CIA operative: the aliens didn't conduct any experiments on you? me: i think they forgot about me at one point my cell door opened and an alien came in with a mop and seemed shocked to see me CIA operative: and after this they dumped you into a lake? me: they didn't even slow down the ship

My neurodivergent headcanon for the 60’s Batman series is that Bruce Wayne’s parents hired a troupe of eccentrics on retainer to keep him entertained, in the untimely event of their death.

The villains from the 60’s Batman. Penguin, riddler, cat woman, and the joker. They’re ready to fight.Adam West as Bruce Wayne in the Batman tv series, wearing a grey body suit and blue/black batmask, cape, gloves, and underoos, with a yellow utility belt. There’s a tiny yellow and black bar symbol on his chest. Next to him is Robin, played by Burt Ward, in a cute little number, red with green sleeves and a yellow cape. He’s got a little r on his chest for Robin. They’re running down the middle of the street in the city.
