"Rena" sent this from Moses Lake WA where she is weeding carrots for a non-union company. She shared: The air is bad. See my cell phone. The AQI is 166, which is unhealthy. We start at 4am. We'll work 7-8 hrs & earn minimum wage. #WeFeedYou

There’s only 6 hours left to vote in today’s primary elections. Only 20% of voters in King County have turned in their ballot so far. Boomers are out voting Gen Z by almost 5 to 1.

Tree Action Seattle, a sponsored organization of the Seattle Parks Foundation - a 501(c)3 org - put up an Instagram post last night promoting candidates who had been endorsed by TreePAC. I do not believe that little disclaimer at the bottom is going to cut it here.

The Yale slip lane is now permanently closed, with Boren handling all I-5 traffic! We had a great time meeting the SDOT crew and can't wait to see the improvements this will bring for the L8! We'll head back down later today to share some more photos after everything is fully installed.

This is a good outcome. The email announcing it includes Sue Rahr saying "I admire the mayor for acting decisively to move forward and rebuild strong and engaged leadership." It all worked out! No messy fight! The chief needed to go and has. Mayor Wilson got it done!

Confirmed: SPD Chief Barnes has resigned. Current Deputy Chief Andre Sayles will serve as interim chief. Sayles only joined SPD last year after serving as Chief of the Police in Beloit, Wisconsin.

btw AMR is the ONLY councilmember who has pointed out that we could easily take this $3m out of SPD funds and they wouldn't even notice. That is literally the whole debate and every single one of them has elided that fact but one

We need a term for the rhetorical practice of inventing a theoretical marginalized person who would be harmed by a broadly-beneficial policy that you dislike because it would inconvenience you.

“Sabio-Howell reflects a district that is progressive, renter-heavy, scrappy, and feeling the pinch as disastrous Trump policies poison a fragile economy and rip gaping holes in a rickety social safety net while Democrats do too little to resist. Frankly, we’re ready for a new direction.” Thank you!

They're here... @theurbanist.org primary endorsements are out, just in time for ballots to hit your mailboxes. www.theurbanist.org/2026-primary...

The Stranger endorsed Pedersen lol he's the type of establishment politician the old Stranger would crawl over broken glass to shit on. And right after abruptly firing their Editor in chief. Guess the debate about their editorial independence under new ownership is officially over

After all this talk for years from Fox News about "radical judges overturning the original Constituion" we now have actual activist judges overturning the original Constitution. And you'll never guess what side they're on!
