a secondary point I want to make here re: ossoff specifically is that this is descriptive rather than an endorsement - I have real worries about him from a policy perspective given e.g. his vote for the laken riley act but he is VERY good at striking the right tone

what more folks are realizing, and so far ossoff appears to be one of them, is that you don't have to play that incredibly bad faith game anymore and you can just point out all the gross shit they say instead

It's important that we've seen a shift where Nancy Mace can be chanting "tranny, tranny" in a proceeding of the US Congress, or this can happen, and not only is it accepted it's *treated as unexceptional* in mainstream press. If nothing else it shows us where the supposed moderates stand.
