Washington, like Oregon, counts ballots that were postmarked by Election Day. But with USPS changes delaying postmarks, the state saw a sharp rise in late and uncountable ballots in its August election. Officials in both states are urging voters to use drop boxes in November. buff.ly/DzClEJX

This man is a fucking monster who limped away from Chicago's mayor's office because he'd become unelectable after closing 50 schools and half of our city's publicly funded mental health care clinics, and covering up the fact that Chicago cops murdered a teenager. Stop whitewashing his ass!
Rahm Emanuel: ‘You Don’t Like My Ideas? Show Me Yours’ The always pugnacious Democrat is ready to fight Republicans, the DSA, and Bibi Netanyahu. And maybe run for president.
this is a common question and the answer is that a lot of companies actually do track piracy numbers when it comes to gauging interest in an IP so if you really want to send the message that Harry Potter is toxic: no, you should not pirate it either
What about piracy?
Dog breeders are like drug dealers. I regularly get emails from where we got Frodo filled with puppy pictures, asking me if I want another.
Sally Floyd, the absolute worst part of Marvel's Civil War event, outside of Mark Millar. And that's really saying something because that event was full of the worst shit already.
Name a character you can't stand.
If I have to pick one... Jurassic Park 3. You know the one, but in case you don't...
Alan Raptor
Alt: The scene in Jurassic Park 3 where Dr. Alan Grant, on an airplane, looks to his left in horror to see a velociraptor next to him, who suddenly yells out "Alan!" (Not shown: Alan waking from a nightmare immediately after.) I *think* it's supposed to show that Dr. Grant is considerably scarred mentally from the events of the first movie, but it's so absurd that it's hilarious.

The title character of Masamune-kun's Revenge, followed very closely by *every other character* in Masamune-kun's Revenge. That might be the most unlikeable dramatis personae in anime history. I literally would rather partake in any other story than rewatch those awful people.

Okay lol how can you do the whole "AI superpowers my work and every luddite who doesn't use it will be left behind" schtick AND say you're broke because you see no financial return on your excessive AI spending?
And this is why we need to help people stop focusing on a brand name and start hating the surveillance state as a whole.

watch The Owl House instead (the Dana Terrace way)
As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.
The one trait consistent to EVERYONE on the right is an inability to understand anything until they experience it personally
No fucking shit buddy. This is what we were trying to tell you.
I'm really craving a candied apple. I haven't had one in years.
The headline writer understood the assignment. The article itself is great, too.

He's right about the killed in public school but that's because of the guns he loves so much and not for any of the reasons he states here. He likes homeschooling because it's the easiest way for parents to get away with beating and sexually abusing their kids so no one at school will know

The local pasta store said they had what I wanted, but only in a 6-pound box. My response? I have room in my chest freezer.
If buying isn't owning then piracy can't be theft. Any reasonable corporation knows that.
Sony says "reasonable consumers" know they don’t own the digital PlayStation games they buy. It argues that it's "not plausible" to suggest that when they buy a digital game they actually believe they're "obtaining ownership" of it. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sony-sa...
Which is why reasonable consumers don't buy digital products from Sony.

It's not until he says the magic words, that he fears losing control, that it fully clicks. It's not that he believes philanthropy is bad, it's that the risk of someone receiving his money who he doesn't approve of is a bigger problem than the risk that his money helps no one. That speaks volumes.
Well, it's primary day, so it's my civic duty to go out there and vote hard against Seth Moulton, the answer to a question nobody asked. Namely, "what if Democrats had their own Ted Cruz?"
