I don’t like using “trauma” as a character development or plot point. Things happen in their story, as in life, but I don’t let those things define them. Ellandra is not a hero, a villain, a victim, a widow, a mother, a war survivor, or just an orphan, etc. - it’s all the quilt of her story.
