Thank goodness! Took them long enough to listen to me. I’ve been asking for this for a few weeks. Quite frankly, I’m not sure why they waited so long. Hopefully he can get himself right for next season. Needs to get his timing in the box figured out. He’s been out of sync for a while now.

The #Mariners are optioning prized rookie shortstop Colt Emerson to the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers after 68 games in his first big league stint, M's insider @shannondrayer.bsky.social of Seattle Sports confirms. sports.mynorthwest.com/mlb/seattle-...

Mason Peters, making his High-A debut for the Aquasox today, was absolutely electric. 3.1IP, 6K, 1BB, 1H, 0R; 48 pitches, 32 strikes, 10 swinging strikes. His curveball was filthy and he showed off a much improved slider as well. Really impressive outing from him today.

It feels like the entire team is falling apart at the seams. I just don’t know how you fix that. How do you make sure it won’t happen again next year? It’s no secret I don’t like Dan Wilson as manager. But anyone who blames him for *ALL* of this is ridiculous. It runs much deeper than just him.

I don’t ever again want to hear about how good the Mariners starters are. They are mediocre at best and have been absolutely terrible since the All-Star break. Not missing bats, walking guys, and giving up a shit ton of hard contact. Maybe “we’re gonna throw fastballs down the middle” is flawed.

I am once again begging the Mariners to give Colt Emerson a break and send him to Triple-A. He is not ready for this and has proven it for the better part of 3 months. This season is lost anyways. Put whatever Quad-A filler at SS you have to for the rest of the year.

Dan Wilson should not be a major league manager. He has no ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances, and isn’t even willing to try. He’s got his plan. And he’s gonna stick with it, even if it means the team will lose. It’s a joke. He should be fired immediately.

Mariners had a chance to come out that inning, work counts, and put Weathers pitch count in an uncomfortable place. They didn’t. The biggest issue with this team is they lack an identity at the plate. I don’t know who they are. I don’t know who they’re trying to be.
