What pisses me off the most about the Hank Green thing is that he had all that goodwill, audience, and reputation and just flushed it away. When all he needed to do was hire a couple of weird nerds like me who *want* to sit and research all day. Instead he chose to make the world a little worse.

Ulrike@ulidig.bsky.social · 7mo agoOn hold (again) with the specialty pharmacy after being told that the biosimilar doesn't require a prior authorization. Shockingly, the new provider at the doctor's office actually did her part the day after she got the request. CVS Specialty fucked up.

I was so frustrated when he mentioned using AI to code his website. Like there are people who do that. You could hire a person. It would be good for the economy and everything.

If you subscribe to anything via an iOS app, you've added a middleman who takes a cut, but who won't fix any problems that arise. Always subscribe in your browser, but this is doubly true for Patreon where you're trying to support an individual. Two middlemen is not better than one!

They also hold the proceeds of iOS app sales for 75 days, making it impossible for creators to accurately predict earnings. They basically inserted themselves in order to rip *more* people off
