Been an adult for 40+ years now and a left/liberal since the Republicans started trickling down on us. Have lived in NYC suburbs, Boston and now Philly (with a short stint in Las Vegas, but I'm told what happens there stays there). 2nd letter of LGBTQ.

nobody in history has ever gotten a bigger "affirmative action" boost than JD Vance. these Yale mfs brought him in, literally taught him how to use a knife and fork, handed him to Amy Chua to learn ruthless sociopathy, and then a tech billionaire bought him a Senate seat over the counter

And a silent majority stayed at home. This was the failure of the Germans at the last free election before the Nazi time. They thought, we are not involved, nothing will hurt us. Ok. This was not so, no one was spared.

The issue is not that Dems actually have "extreme" policies, it's that the public WRONGLY believes that they do. And no amount of "moving to the center" fixes a perception problem. These centrist groups know this. They don't care about electing Dems, they just want to push them rightward.

New York Magazine says in response to criticism of its latest issue that “genocide” is “an accurate description of the atrocities in Gaza [...] and that accusations of antisemitic intent were in fact obfuscating an overwhelming scholarly consensus, and that its use would be allowed in our pages”

Some objected to the magazine’s use of the term genocide to describe Israel’s actions in Gaza. Close readers will recognize that this was not a decision specific to this series. This past fall, after an extensive review of genocide scholarship and interviews with multiple experts in the field of genocide studies, the magazine’s editors decided the term was an accurate description of the atrocities in Gaza, that accusations of antisemitic intent were in fact obfuscating an overwhelming scholarly consensus, and that its use would be allowed in our pages.

So, it’s not a conspiracy, and you are not imagining it. The biggest and wealthiest tech leaders are genuine fascists. They are leading an active and intentional systematic attack on labor. And they have radicalized each other while sidelining or removing the remaining decent execs in the industry.

In an alarming development, it appears the UK Government covered up a massive spike in trans youth suicides after restrictions. Then covered it up again when caught. Now, after fighting for years, the data is public: trans suicide increased 5x in the country. Subscribe to support our journalism.

Trans Youth Suicides Skyrocketed In UK After Care Drawdown; Government Covers It Up

Exactly. Squeamish Dems made the same foolish choice in the early days of marriage equality. Voters who are motivated by anti-trans or anti-gay sentiment are going to vote for the party (Republican) that aligns wholeheartedly, not a few outliers who "understand their concerns."

"If you say Abolish ICE, Republicans will say you want open borders." Right but it's your job to communicate persuasively enough to 1) win and 2) enact your party's agenda. If you don't have the requisite talent, you're unfit, step aside. If you don't *want to* then you're unfit, step aside
