It has been brought to my attention that the forest fires around Bordeaux are burning up the pine plantations set up on drained wetlands there in the 19thC, a project widely admired and imitated around the world. In case someone wants to fund my global history of pine project.

Hindu supremacists have been going on about 'Soros-funded' for a long time now. The BJP IT cell were pioneers of online nazi-mongering trolling, & there's a lot of diffusion between online nazi trolls worldwide. Also worth noting, the CJP was a trigger--the protests are a confluence of groups now.

At a moment of rising anti-government CJP protests in Delhi, the Hindutva right is denying that the protests are organic by blaming them on George Soros. Even in a place with no particular history of the rootless cosmopolitan Jew as the Other, they’re imbibing the same online right-wing tropes.

Protests over the alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, as well as the subsequent police action against demonstrators in Delhi, spread to several cities on Wednesday, including Patna, Mumbai, Varanasi, Lucknow and Raipur. More updates here: scroll.in/latest/10944...
