The Snowbirds visited Victoria today & put on a show for their 55th anniversary. It’s their final season before they go on hiatus and their CT-114 Tutor jets get replaced. We didn’t have the greatest vantage point, and it’s just my phone, but I got a serviceable video and a couple cool shots. #yyj

Got a bonus at work, so we picked up a few things like a new vacuum and HeroQuest.
Crunch-focused folk want new supplements, to give them more subsystems they can theorycraft on but never use. Storygames folk want new systems, to give them more genres they will turn into girlfailure yuri comedies. OSR folk want new adventures, to give them more rooms they will never dare enter.
The most striking thing about AI art is simply how clear it is that it has entirely failed to the world more beautiful. Is your world more beautiful than it was five years ago because of AI? Mine is not.

Ran Shadowdark yesterday. Shenanigans include the wizard transforming themselves into a beastman after trying to exploit a strength-granting ritual, the priest blowing themselves up (repeatedly), conflict and tense negotiations with ettercaps, and acquiring enough XP to reach level 2! #shadowdark

During their second foray into the Lost Citadel of the Scarlet Minotaur, the PCs explored its maze-like corridors, recovered some treasure, and even managed to slay the titular minotaur with some clever tactics and teamwork whilst narrowly avoiding death. I’m so proud of them 🥲 #shadowdark
Curious to what their first foray into Shadowdark would be like, I got it and read it over. Alas, my advice is to spend your money on another adventure because I feel this could have been a heck of a lot better product coming from a professional publisher like Kobold Press. 🫤 #Shadowdark #TTRPG

Most designs are by artists based in Victoria. Each puzzle is rated on a scale of 5, & 5 is to stump the unstumpable puzzle fan. #yyj
