Yep, and local politics are important short term. The confederacyneo plans owned the local state houses, the judges, the sheriff's the controllers, first. That power has translated to the Fed.

I saw a video from a recovering alcoholic. He talked about how he used to buy rounds of drinks all the time. It wasn't generosity. He was trying to get everyone else hammered so he wouldn't feel so guilty and awkward about being sloshed himself. I feel like similar happens with some AI pushers.

Election results are public. You don't have to rely on vibes on who you think has been winning them. The Chair of the Blue Dog Coalition being way ahead of a primary challenger from the left, seems like an indication that the establishment isn't on the ropes.

Sure seems like democrats are done with the establishment. Lots of democratic socialists racking up wins this primary season. I hope this carries on to November. In my neck of the woods Marie Gluesenkamp-Perez survived her progressive challenger. But TBH my district is more red than blue.

I can honestly say I've never used ChatGPT, Claude or any other AI nonsense. I even ignore any AI generated response to a search engine request, usually because I'm not convinced of the relevance or accuracy.

I think the most disturbing political discourse I've seen is white people talking about Black voters as if they're some kind of maternal/paternal figure who's going to come in and discipline the unruly young kids who have the audacity to mess with (democratic) socialism. Just, yikes. Yikes on bikes.

Flipping Congress would be great and Democrats should strive for that, but local and state elections are far more important to Black Americans. @democrats.org should invest money on winning state legislatures and Supreme Courts.

I snarkyly said this in a comment but it is true. Stop complaining about the courts and start using them. Being angry on social media isn’t going to change anything. You have to bankrupt them and destroy their support. Isolate them culturally and isolate them socially.

Another reminder that local and state elections are as, if not more important than national ones. Black voters must focus on winning back state houses, city councils, state Supreme Courts and governors' mansions. That should be the No. 1 priority when voting this midterm- take back your power!

Tarrant County, Texas, could see around 50 percent fewer polling locations in November's election. "Let's call this what it is… voter suppression," said NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson. "Cutting nearly half the places where people can cast a ballot doesn't save democracy money, it costs voters their voice. Tarrant County is home to a significant number of Black and Latino voters and is a majority people-of-color county.
