NANTZ: Stay tuned after the game tonight as Ross Douthat continues his twelve-part series on Chesterton ROMO: The Bills could use that fence right about now, Jim

Exceptional clarity from Science magazine but we need to take this one step further. Their design to break academic science is coupled with their design to re-segregate higher education and control culture, ideas, and memory. It fits with anti-DEI policies and Trump disclaimers at the Smithsonian.

The Trump administration hates academic science funding, full stop. They hate where that money goes, and they hate who it goes to. They want to keep all that money for themselves, to hand out to favored cronies who can help them get elected and to steer yet more money and more power back into their hands.

The only election he's won in his own right was eking out a meager plurality win over a fractured field in an Ohio Senate primary, and then cruising through on a red year in a red state.

Watching a series of former Confederate states rush to eliminate any vestige of black representation in the House pretty much answers the question whether the Voting Rights Act was still necessary.

One of the most crazy-making things I've witnessed in my life is Mitch McConnell using procedural fuckery to transform the filibuster into a routine thing, such that 60 Senate votes are needed to pass any legislation. It bascially rendered normal legislating impossible!

Marco Rubio is Secretary of State, National Security Advisor, US Archivist, USAID Administrator, Overseer of Venezuela, future Viceroy of Cuba, and one of multiple officials in charge of telling Europe it isn't white enough, and now you expect him to be a footwear expert too?!?
