Today is first use of the "Particularly Dangerous Situation" alert in the PNW since its introduction 5 years ago. This isn't a normal red flag: we expect gusts of 35 to 55(!) mph tearing over many large fires. If you live on the east side and are told to evacuate, grab your family and pets and GO.
