1000% this. It’s exhausting, it’s difficult, it’s uncomfortable. All worthwhile work is. But closing the conversation, choosing to punish, be spiteful, and hold onto anger instead of being compassionate and forgiving when people fuck up? That’s not getting anyone anywhere.

Tired of participating in the social contract, tired of leaving space for folks to learn and grow, tired of extending compassion, tired of choosing to nurture care instead of sharing grudges, tired of practicing rehabilitative mindset But! Bitch who cares, do it tired

Hi! You may have heard on my stream but im officially announcing that I've been working on my own open source stream assistant. I've actually been working on it shortly after I left the SAMMI team, as I had so much I wanted to do for SAMMI but ultimately things kept getting in the way. A thread! 🧵

Slightly bad news bears, potentially could be worse and don't know yet, but I'm going to be going into surgery at some point to get a mysterious nodule removed from my (non-dominant) arm. I'm hoping it's benign, but you never know with these things! Here's to hoping it's nothing~

Sometimes, I worry my sleep attacks are not just narcolepsy. I've been tested for sleep studies, but there's always that worrying voice in my head it's something more, something unchecked. It's just so frustrating and debilitating to go an entire day struggling to stay awake.

Howdy folks! I just wanted to share a free resource I made about building a washout booth filtration system for screen printing! Responsible water processing should not cost upwards of $1000!! Including the image here but full write up is here!

A diagram of a screen printing washout booth filtration set up with labels pointing to the different elements. The title Washout Booth Filter is listed at the top, along with a white starburst with the text “DIY!!!” inside. There are three containers that the water will travel through as they pass through the system. The elements indicated by labels are as follows: pond filter, 86-100 mesh screen, 130-60 mesh screen, 200-230 mesh screen, sump pump, 75 micron filter, 20 micron filter. Additional labels indicate that the first container is to be raised up above the others as a solids catcher and that the water at the end of the system can be sent to drain or additional treatment container.

I'm BACK to streaming tonight, folks, starting this evening at 8pm central usa!! I'm going to be focusing on paying down debt with any income I receive. It's been plaguing my life since covid and I want to make as big of a dent in it as much as possible, hence the aggressive stream scheduling!

A lot of people don’t realize the dust bowl wasn’t a natural phenomenon. It happened when agrobusiness interests dramatically transformed the plains without regard for drought, and created vicious dust storms that choked whole families to death. That’s what I think of when I read about data centers.

People are out here acting like AI is the most efficient computing thing around. I'm sorry, but those data centers need how many resources, need how much water and cooling to contract how how much heat is produced, need how much space? One human thought is far more efficient than one AI prompt.

As I'm learning to program and in turn, how to code, I am cross references as I go when I don't understand things. This is something I wish I did when i first started. It's something I did as an artist! Didn't grap how to draw a head? Look up for references, tutorials, and methods written by others!

Free and Open Source is so vitally important for indie devs and artists and.... anyone, but it's so frustrating that AI is ruining so many Open Source contributions. What a truly horrendous timeline we live within.

There are tons of imposition programs that are open source and browser based... But i don't want browser based. I want a downloadable, OFFLINE program. And if it's open source, where is your source code? Looking at PDSPress dot app.

I keep running into the dilemma that I really need to learn Javascript, C#, and maybe Python, too, if I wanna be more self sufficient with streaming. I started with Javascript but instead, I started learning basic programming, instead. Best decision ever. Oh! And I am journaling it, too.

A double spread of a journal full of notes and musings regarding programming. The three papermate flare pens used to write in the journal can be seen in the corner of the image.

Unpopular art opinion: gesture drawing is NOT a beginner friendly introductary concept to teaching figure drawing. I think visual measuring, despite being difficult, is a much better concept to start with.

Fuck off. If anything is "millennial", it's those cool transparent colors our iMacs, Gameboys, and Tamagotchis came in. No fucking millennial likes the house flipper grey. Call it a millennial paint job when I can see through the exterior of a car because it's Glacier Purple like my GBA.

An image showing the colorful transparent plastic of various pieces of technology of the 90's and early 2000s, that were easily the popular choice of the millennial age bracket. Some of the tech is an iMac, Nintendo 64, Sega DreMcast, a PlayStation 2, a Gameboy color and Advance, and CD player.

No fuck off we're not calling this "Millennial grey" this shit was dictated completely by boomer retiree house flippers we absolutely had NO say in this

Millennial grey

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A kitchen with beige grey floors, drab walls, brushed steel appliances, and grey granite countertops.
Grey floors and furnishings are said to appeal to Millennial tastes.
Millennial grey refers to a desaturated colour scheme that is said to appeal to the interior design sensibilities of the Millennial Generation in the early 21st century.[1] Cultural historian Kassia St. Clair attributed its widespread adoption to a desire among Millennials for "a flexible, sensible choice that will last years, hide any stains, and can be adapted to different schemes."[1] Some have diagnosed Millennial grey as a reaction to the warm hues of the late 20th century.[2]

Millennial grey is polarising, particularly when used with imitation-wood-texture sheet vinyl flooring, which many describe as depressing, soulless, or corporate.[3][4] Although attributed to Millennials, the grey colour scheme is often chosen by house flippers, vacation rental owners, or other people who do not actually live in the greyed properties.[3] Thus, the occupant of the property—Millennial or not—has little say in its colour scheme, particularly when deployed for fixtures such as flooring.[4] The greying may have been driven, in part, by a desire to prepare properties for sale in a manner thought to be least offensive to the average buyer.[5] Given the housing crises gripping many countries in the early to mid-21st century, buyers and renters may feel they have no choice but to accept a property decked in Millennial grey.[4]

To the extent that Millennial grey is said to be enjoyed by Millennials, it is also said to be loathed by Generation Z.[1][2]

Why does the internet forget what NSFW stands for? It doesn't mean straight up porn, it means your very uptight puritan prudish coworker who faints at the sight of The Statue of David would make a fuss if you opened it at work. Not Safe For WORK, not Not Safe For Your Personal Interpretation.
